So all across Starbucks land it’s Via Friday! If you don’t frequent a Starbucks on Fridays then Via Fridays is our day to focus on Via sales and have a little fun. My store has been kicking butt and I would like to share some of the fun things we do with you. Today we printed some awesome recipes from the Via website and handed out to customers in hopes they would be inspired to make the dish and buy some Via. Here are a couple of recipes of my own. These are tested by yours truly and devoured by my family! Enjoy and cook up some coffee this weekend!
Grilled pork chops with a brown sugar Via glaze.
6-8 thin cut bone in pork chops ( you can use whatever cut you like I like those)
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c chicken or veggie broth
1-2 sticks Starbucks Via Colombia
1tbsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp ground Ginger
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tbsp oil
2 tsp cornstarch
Mix all ingredients together and simmer until thickened to a thick glaze
Season pork chops and grill until well done. When done brush both sides with glaze.
I put 1-2 sticks of Via because it just depends on how much coffee flavor you like. Start with one and taste add as many as you like.
This next one is the perfect desert!
No pudge mocha brownies!!
1 pkg of no pudge fudge brownie mix
1 8oz yogurt cup of nonfat vanilla yogurt
Walnuts (optional) crushed
2 sticks italina Via
Mix the brownie mix, yogurt, and via in bowl, put into greased glass pan, sprinkle the walnuts over the top an bake according to directions. While baking lick the bowl clean and give the spoon to your kid.
When all done cool completely and then serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!! Yummy
