So in preparation for this week I decided to make whole wheat poppyseed muffins. I was so excited because I love them and hadn’t made these before. Well half way through their bake time I remembered I forgot to add the sugar! Doh! Way to go mom. They came out fine they just taste more like a biscuit. So eaten warmed with some jam or sweet cream butter and they are great! Well me and the kids ate some the hubs not so much:(
So for this week’s menu we are obviously having poppyseed muffins for breakfast. For lunch this week I am making whole wheat crepes and we are making fun wraps. Some savory: chicken, turkey and ham with cheese. Some sweet: strawberry banana with sour cream or cream cheese, banana peanut butter, marshmallow fluff. The possibilities are endless!
Monday: roast chicken with sugar snap peas and sauteed mushrooms
Tuesday: farfalle with peas in a cream sauce French bread and Cesar salad
Wednesday: wonton soup with stir fry amd steamed brown rice
Thursday: grilled pork tenderloin with grilled veggies
Friday: nite off
Saturday: salami and cheese paninis
