It’s back to school time for everyone. Even my preschooler went from the relaxed fun summertime pre K class to the serious, gotta get ready for school pre K class. He is super excited and feels like such a big boy. He misses the deadline to start kindergarten by 5 lousy days. But I’m not upset about it. He is smart enough, he meets all the requirements, but he could use the extra year of maturity to learn how to sit still and have better listening ears. Besides, I’m emotional just thinking about him starting school I don’t think I could actually take the real thing.
His preschool provides lunch but it’s not always something we allow him to eat. And because he doesn’t eat fatty junk food his poor little tummy can’t handle the chili cheese fries! So I make him lunch on those days. Here’s his lunch today: ham and cheese on crust whole grain bread, flattened, rolled and cut in half. With red and green grapes and grape tomatoes. This is one of his favorite lunches!
